Music for Silent Film – Second Showing

There will be a second showing of the music for silent film performance “Surrealist American Silent Shorts, and the Great Buster Keaton” at the Manlius Cinema.

The Manlius Cinema is the oldest movie theater in in Central New York still showing movies, which makes it an ideal venue for a music for silent film concert! The Manlius Cinema, which was called the Strand Theatre at the time, opened in 1918. The theater started with silent films and added sound in 1931. Come join us on Tuesday, December 8 at 7:00pm to enjoy this unique program in a space that screened silent films a little over a hundred years ago!

Original music by Ed Ruchalski accompanying 3 short silent films that reflect different surrealist styles and ideas.
